How To View Recently Visited Websites In Safari Browser On Mac

On Macs, Safari is the default web browser. It is fast, secure, and offers better privacy.

If you often use the Apple Safari web browser to browse the web, at times, you might want to view recently visited websites in the Safari browser.

This guide shows you how to view the recently visited websites on a Mac in the Safari browser.

Like other web browsers, Apple’s Safari browser also keeps a list of all websites that you visit. Using the History feature in the Safari browser, you can easily view all recently visited websites.

NOTE: If you or someone else has cleared the browsing history or browsed in private mode, you will not be able to view the recently visited websites.

Step 1: Launch the Safari browser using search or by clicking its icon in the dock.

Step 2: Once Safari is launched, click the History menu and then click Show all history to see the browsing history list, which shows all the websites you have visited recently.

Click on a link in the list to open the webpage in the new tab again.

Step 1: When the Safari browsing is open, simultaneously press the Command and Y keys to open the History tab.

As you can see, the History tab shows all recently visited websites.­

Clear browsing history from Apple Safari browser on Mac

If you have used someone else’s Mac to browse the web and do not want to leave behind the history, you can clear the browsing history with a few clicks.

Step 1: Open the Apple Safari browser.

Step 2: Click the History tab and then click Show history.

Step 3: Once the History tab is open, click the Clear History button in the top right corner to clear the browsing history.
