All features of the Windows 11 operating system are not installed by default. Features that have been offered as optional features are not installed by default. Users who want or need them can install them via the Optional features page in the built-in Settings app.
As said, several Windows 11 features can be installed or uninstalled via Optional features. For instance, Windows Fax and Scan, and Windows Media Player (legacy), which are not installed by default, can be installed via Optional features.
Why is the Optional features page missing from the Settings > Apps page on Windows 11?
Several users trying to install or uninstall optional features have been complaining that the Optional features page cannot be found by navigating to Settings > Apps.
The Optional features page is missing from the Settings > Apps page because it has been moved to a new page.
On the recent versions of Windows 10 and Windows 11, you need to navigate to Settings > System page to find Optional features. In the earlier Windows 11 and 10 versions, it was present under Settings > Apps page. Now, it can be found under Settings > System.

Step 1: Open the Settings app using search or Windows logo + I hotkey.
Step 2: Once the Settings app is open, on the left pane, click System.
Step 3: Now, on the right side, scroll down to see Optional features. Click on it to open the Optional Features page, where you can manage optional features.

Step 1: Type Optional features in the Start menu or taskbar search field and then press the Enter key to open the Optional features page in the Settings app.
