Fix: “For Developers” Missing From Windows 11 Settings

Windows 11 offers several options and settings that are helpful for developers. All these options and settings have been compiled into a page called “For developers”.

The “For developers” page has several tools and options, including options to sideload apps, turn on/off device portal to let you remotely access your PC, and change terminal settings.

Many users over the past few weeks have been complaining that the “For developers” page is missing or not appearing in Settings > System. If you have also observed the same, worry not!

Has the “For developers” page been removed or moved in the latest Windows 11?

If the “For developers” page is missing from the Windows 11 Settings > System, look for Advanced.

Yes, in the latest version of Windows 11, the “For developers” page has been renamed to Advanced. Yes, the Settings > System > Advanced page contains all the settings and options from the earlier “For developers” page.

The new Advanced page of the Windows 11 Settings app offers options to change various File Explorer settings, in addition to developer tools and options.

Access the Advanced (For developers) in Windows 11 Settings

Step 1: Open the Windows 11 Settings app.

Step 2: On the left pane, click System.

Step 3: Now, on the right side, scroll down to see Advanced. Click the same to open the Advanced page, which has all the settings and options required for developers.

Quickly access the Advanced page in Windows 11

If you often need to access the settings and options in the Advanced page of the Settings app, this tip is for you.

All you need to do is type ms-settings:advanced in the Run dialog, Start/taskbar search, or File Explorer address bar, and then hit the Enter key to quickly open the Advanced page.
