On Windows computers, the File Explorer is the default file manager. The File Explorer is often used to access, create, and delete files and folders.
If you often need to deal with multiple files and folders, you probably open multiple File Explorer windows to manage files. But how do you quickly close all File Explorer windows?
Although we can use the Alt + F4 keyboard shortcut to close one File Explorer window after another, it takes considerable time, especially when you have tens of File Explorer windows open.
The team behind the Windows operating system knows this problem very well and, therefore, includes an option to quickly close all File Explorer windows with just two clicks. Here is how.
Method 1 of 2
Close all File Explorer windows at once from the taskbar in Windows 11
Step 1: Right-click the File Explorer icon on the taskbar and click the Close all windows option to immediately close all open File Explorer windows.
Method 2 of 2
