How To Pin Contacts To Taskbar In Windows 10

The My People feature in Windows 10 (available in version 1709 and above) makes it easier to connect with your family and friends. With My People, you can quickly converse with your most important contacts.

The My People feature adds a People icon or People bar to the taskbar. The feature also allows you to pin your most important contacts to your taskbar for quick access. Currently, it supports pinning up to three contacts to the taskbar.

In this guide, we will see how to pin your important contacts to Windows 10 taskbar.

Pin contacts to Windows 10 taskbar

Step 1: Click on the People’s icon on the taskbar to see suggested people list. If the People icon is not present on the taskbar, please refer to our how to add or remove People bar from Windows 10 taskbar guide for detailed instructions.

Step 2: In the suggested people list, click on a contact to pin to the taskbar. If you want to pin a contact which is not in the suggested people list, click More contacts to see all your contacts and then click on a contact to pin it to Windows 10 taskbar.

Note that only the first three contacts that you pin appear on the taskbar. If you pin more than three contacts, the other contacts (maximum three) will appear on the taskbar once you remove the first three contacts.

To unpin a contact from taskbar

Step 1: Right-click on the contact on the taskbar and then click Unpin from taskbar option.
