Using Problem Steps Recorder in Windows 7

Step 3: Once you finish all your tasks, just hit the Stop Record button to close recording process and save the file in your desired location.

Step 4: The PSR saves records in a ZIP file. You can use the default file extraction feature or any other tools such as 7-Zip or WinRAR to unzip the file.

Note that the Problem Steps Recorder will not record the text that you type while recording. In order to add text to your screenshots, use add text comment feature available in PSR tool.

To preset the output location of the recorded file, open Settings in PSR and browse to the desired location. You can also enable/disable screen capture and number of recent screen captures to store using settings.

There are no settings till now in PSR to capture a single window only.

Excellent tool that I didn’t know existed. I work on a (3) monitor setup, and it only seems to record the entire desktop…anyone know of a way to force it to record a single window?
