The File Explorer is one of the most underrated features of the Windows operating system. Users who have used other desktop operating systems would agree that it’s the best file manager out there. Be it tabs, easy-to-use keyboard shortcuts, or the Home folder for quickly viewing and accessing favorite, shared, and recent files, the File Explorer offers it all.
While Windows 11 File Explorer is not as customizable as other parts of the operating system, like the Start menu, it does offer options to make the most of it.
By default, the Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Pictures, Videos, and Music are pinned to the File Explorer sidebar because they are among the most frequently accessed folders on any computer. In addition to these folders, you can also pin your favorite folders to the File Explorer sidebar so that you can access them quickly.
