Do you have a Wi-Fi connectivity issue on your Windows 11 PC? Would you like to update the Wi-Fi driver, hoping to fix the Wi-Fi issue? If yes, you are at the right place.
There are multiple ways to install a Wi-Fi driver update in Windows 11. You can use Windows Update, manually download and install, or use the OEM-provided tool.
The following are three easy ways to update the Wi-Fi driver on your Windows 11 PC.
Method 1 of 3
Update the Wi-Fi driver via Windows Update in Windows 11
NOTE: We recommend this method over others because it’s easy and convenient.
Windows 11 includes a built-in mechanism that automatically checks and installs device driver updates. Although it might not offer the latest updates soon after they are available, it does offer stable updates.
Step 1: Open the Windows 11 Settings app. On the left pane, click Windows Update to open the same.
Step 2: On the right side, click Advanced options.
Step 3: In the Additional options section, click Optional updates.
Step 4: Here, click Driver updates to see all available driver updates.
Step 5: If an update for your Wi-Fi driver is available, it should appear here. If present, select the driver update entry and then click the Download & install button.
If asked to restart, reboot your PC once after saving your work.
Method 2 of 3
Manually update the Wi-Fi driver in Windows 11
If Windows Update isn’t offering a Wi-Fi driver update, you can visit your PC manufacturer’s website to see if a newer version of the driver is available. If available, you can manually download it and install it.
NOTE: If you are not sure of the current Wi-Fi driver version, we advise you to download the latest version from the manufacturer and install it. It will not cause any harm!
Step 1: Visit your PC manufacturer’s website.
Step 2: Navigate to the drivers/downloads section.
Step 3: Type your PC’s model number when asked to see the latest drivers available for download.
Step 4: Download the Wi-Fi driver by clicking the appropriate link.
Step 5: Once downloaded, run the Wi-Fi driver setup file, then follow the easy on-screen instructions to install it. Please note that your PC’s Wi-Fi might turn off for a few seconds during the driver installation. That’s it! You have just installed the latest Wi-Fi driver.
Method 3 of 3
Use the OEM provided tool to install the Wi-Fi driver update in Windows 11
