Print Service Manager Helps You Easily Clear Print Queue

Last Updated on October 19, 2020 by admin 2 Comments

We have all been there: You try to print out a webpage or office document, but for some reason, the print job got stuck in the queue. Or, at times, you may want to cancel a print job in the middle before your printer churns out all pages.

The best way to cancel a print job is to immediately cancel all print jobs under Devices and Printers in Control Panel.  To do this, you need to open Run dialog, type control printers, click on your printer icon and see what’s printing and then cancel the job. An option is also available in Devices and Printers to delete the print queue.

As opening Devices and Printers every time to stop a print job or clear print queue doesn’t sound like a good idea, we have a small tool to share with you that lets you easily stop the print spooler service and clear print queue.

Print Service Manager is a free application (from the maker of Mouse Switcher) that lets you easily start, stop, and restart print spooler service without opening the Services window. The tool can be pinned to the taskbar for quick access. Whenever you want to stop a print job, launch the application and click the stop button.

This tool also includes an option to clean the print queue. Open the application and click on the Clean Print Queue option present in the left pane to delete outstanding print jobs in C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS directory.

Print Service Manager is completely free and works fine on both x86 and x64 versions of Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 operating systems.

If you are regularly using, you may want to use GreenCloudPrinter software to save printer ink, paper, and also trees!

Just downloaded Print Service Manager, stuck on “Print service status is updating”.
Can I restart the app without breaking something? It’s been over 5 minutes.
