Watch 360 Degree Videos On Windows 10 PC

Last Updated on October 19, 2020 by admin Leave a Comment

These days it’s quite easy to record 360-degree videos thanks to advanced tools and technology. There are even apps and cameras available to capture 360-degree videos on smartphones, but it’s best to use a dedicated 360 camera to record 360-degree video.

You can find plenty of incredible 360-degree videos on YouTube and other video sharing websites.

If you have already recorded 360-degree videos and transferred them to your Windows 10 PC, you might now be wondering how to watch a 360-degree video on a Windows 10, Windows 8, or Windows 7 PC.

As you know, Windows 10 doesn’t ship with a solid video player, and we have to rely on third-party players. While there are plenty of third-party video players out there for Windows, not all of them support 360-degree videos yet.

Luckily, the newest version of the GOM Player comes with support for 360-degree VR video, making it one of the first desktop media players to support 360 degree VR video.

A 360-degree video can be watched on GOM Player from the top, bottom, left, or right by just moving the mouse or using dedicated keyboard shortcuts.

Additionally, the GOM Player for Windows 10/8/7 displays front, back, left and right previews so that you can easily switch to one of them.

Don’t have a 360-degree video to watch it on the GOM player? Not a problem. YouTube has a good number of 360 videos, and those videos can be played right on your GOM Player.

While watching a 360-degree video in GOM Player, you can use W, A, S, and D keys to change viewing angles. Also, you can use “+” and “-” keys on your keyboard to zoom in or out. The “V” key can be used to view or select the front, left, right, or rear of the video.

Likewise, while watching a 360-degree video, hover the mouse anywhere on the screen area where the video is being displayed, perform a click, and then move the mouse towards the left, right, top, or bottom of the screen to change the angle of the video.

In addition to support for 360-degree video, GOM Player supports a wide range of video formats as well. There are some features that you can’t find in other popular media players.

A word of caution. While installing GOM Player, it tries to install some other programs as well. Don’t accept those programs if you’re not interested.
