How To Remove The ‘Sent From Mail For Windows 10’ Text

Last Updated on March 10, 2020 by admin Leave a Comment

The other day, one of my friends called me up and asked why I add Sent from Mail for Windows 10 tagline at the end of each email message. My friend was curious to know if I was promoting the Mail app as well as Windows 10.

Every time you send or replay to an email message using the Mail app in Windows 10, it automatically adds a small signature link “Sent from Mail for Windows 10” at the end of your email to let the person reading your email message know that you used the Mail app in Windows 10 to compose or replay to the email.

And it’s not just Windows 10 or Mail app that automatically adds “Sent from” signature line at the end of emails. Even Apple’s iPhone adds, “Sent from my iPhone” message by default, for instance.

Most PC users are not aware that the Mail app adds a signature message at the end of emails although the Mail app shows Sent from Mail for Windows 10 even while composing a new email so that users can delete the text if they don’t want to add the default signature to the email.

The other problem is that the Mail app doesn’t sync your webmail signature. This means, for instance, if you have set up a signature for your Outlook.com email account in the web interface, the Mail app won’t use or sync the same signature while sending emails. If you want the Mail app to use that signature, you need to customize the Mail app signature be following given below directions.

If you don’t want the Mail app to add Sent from Mail for Windows 10 text to each and every email or wish to replace the default email signature with a custom one, you can do so under Mail app settings.
