How To Remove 3D Objects Folder From This PC In Windows 10

We know that the This PC in Windows 10 shows library folders by default. In Creators Update and earlier Windows 10 versions, Documents, Pictures, Music, Downloads, Desktop, and Videos library folders used to appear in This PC.

With Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, Microsoft added 3D Objects folder to This PC and the folder appears by default. As the name of the folder suggests, 3D Objects is added to save all 3D models created apps.

Most of the Windows 10 users don’t create or deal with 3D models. If you also don’t use the 3D Objects, you might want to remove the 3D Objects folder from This PC in Windows 10.

As you might know by now, you cannot simply right-click on a folder in This PC and remove it. You need to manually edit the Registry to remove a folder from This PC.

Remove 3D Objects folder from This PC

In this how-to article, we will see how to remove 3D Objects folder from This PC in Windows 10.

Step 1: Open Registry Editor by typing Regedit in the Start/taskbar search box and then pressing Enter key.

Step 2: Navigate to the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ MyComputer\NameSpace

Step 3: Expand the NameSpace key, and locate the following key:

{0DB7E03F-FC29-4DC6-9020-FF41B59E513A}

Step 4: Finally, right-click on {0DB7E03F-FC29-4DC6-9020-FF41B59E513A} key and then click Delete option. Click Yes button when you see the confirmation dialog box.

That’s it! The 3D Objects folder should disappear from This PC immediately. If not, please either restart Windows Explorer once or reboot your PC to get rid of 3D Objects folder.
