Extract Pages From PDF Without Using Third-Party Tools In Windows 10

When it comes to dealing with PDF files, most PC users use the third-party applications as Windows 10 supports only opening PDF files. Plenty of free and paid software out there to enable you to extract pages from PDF files.

But why download and install a third-party software when you can extract page(s) from PDF files without using third-party utilities?

The built-in Microsoft Print to PDF tool in Windows 10 can be used to extract one or more pages from PDF files. In this guide, we will see how to extract page(s) from PDF file in Windows 10.

Complete the given below directions to extract one or more pages from a PDF file in Windows 10.

NOTE: When you extract page(s) from a PDF file, the original file is untouched. In short, when you extract page(s), pages won’t be removed from the original PDF file. If you need to remove a page from a PDF file, use PDF Shaper Free software.

Extract pages from PDF without using third-party tools in Windows 10

Step 1: Open the PDF file you want to extract pages from with Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome or any other software that supports opening PDF files.

Step 2: Simultaneously press Ctrl and P keys (Ctrl + P) to open the Print dialog. In most PDF readers, including web browsers like Edge and Chrome, you can right-click on the page and then click Print option to open the Print dialog.

Step 3: At the Print dialog, select Microsoft Print to PDF as the printer.

Step 4: In the Pages drop-down box, select Page range, enter the page number that you want to extract and then click the Print button.

For instance, if you want to extract page 3 of a PDF file, enter 3 in the box. If you want to extract page 3 and 5, type 3, 5 in the box.

Step 5: Select a location to save the extracted PDF file, enter a name for the new extracted page of the PDF and then click the Save button. That’s it! Needless to say to that extracted page will be saved with PDF extension only.

If you extract two or more pages at a time, all pages will be combined and saved as one PDF file. So, if you want them as separate files, please extract only one page at a time.
