How To Add Pictures To Sticky Notes In Windows 10

Ever since Microsoft replaced the classic Sticky Notes with the Sticky Notes app, it has added several new features to the Sticky Notes app.

Managing notes in the Sticky Notes is an easy affair now. You can find all notes at one place and can open only you want to view or edit. Besides that, your notes in Sticky Notes are available across your Windows 10 devices. A web version of Sticky Notes has also been made available just in case you want to access Sticky Notes on Android, iPhone, iPad, and macOS.

Sticky Notes app has now received another major new feature. You can now add pictures to Sticky Notes.

Starting with Sticky Notes version 2.6, Sticky Notes support adding pictures to notes. In this guide, we will see how to add pictures to Sticky Notes in Windows 10.

Note that you need not be running an Insider Build to update Sticky Notes to version 2.6. Everyone running version 1803 or later can update Sticky Notes to version 2.6 to get the new feature.

Method 1 of 2

Add a picture to Sticky Notes in Windows 10

Step 1: Open the Sticky Notes app and open either a new or existing note.

Step 2: Click on the picture icon at the bottom toolbar to browse to the image file that you would like to add to the note and then click the Open button to add the selected picture file to the note.

The added picture file will be automatically listed at the top of the note.

You can right-click on the added picture file to view options to save the picture, view the picture in the original size, and delete the picture.

Method 2 of 2

Another way to add pictures to Sticky Notes in Windows 10

Step 1: Launch Sticky Notes and open the note to which you would like to add the picture file.

Step 2: Copy the picture file and then right-click on the note and then click the Paste option to add the picture file. Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V will work as well.

    It is not helpful to put an image at the top of the page. It overwrites the title of the sticky not. You could be able to place an image in the note where you need it.

    The image function is pretty useless for me. If you import a small image into a sticky, it becomes a large image and besides taking up much valuable space, it looks terrible. I can see no way to resize an image after its been imported into a sticky.
