This guide will show you how to reinstall the touchpad driver in Windows 10 and 11

Step 1: Open the Device Manager using the search function. Alternatively, right-click the Start menu button on the taskbar and then click the Device Manager option to open the same.

Step 2: In the Device Manager, look for Mice and other pointing devices and Human Interface Devices trees and expand the same to see your touchpad’s entry.

Step 5: Now that you have uninstalled the touchpad driver, it’s time to install a fresh touchpad driver again. To do that, go to Settings > Windows Update (Windows 11) or Settings > Windows & Security > Windows Update (Windows 10) and then click the Check for updates button to let Windows 10/11 download and install the correct touchpad driver.

Alternatively, you can download the touchpad driver from your PC manufacturer’s website and then run the installer to install the touchpad driver.
