The date and clock on the lock screen are standard features across all smartphone and desktop operating systems. From Windows to macOS to Android to iOS, all operating systems display a clock on the lock screen.

Both Windows 10 and the latest Windows 11 show a clock on the lock screen. In fact, both date and time are shown on the Windows 10/11 lock screen for the convenience of users.

Remove clock from lock screen in Windows 11

While a large number of users appreciate the clock on the lock screen, some users feel that it does not let them enjoy the lock screen background, especially when using beautiful Windows spotlight wallpaper.

Is it possible to remove or hide the clock from the Windows 10/11 lock screen?

So, many users want to know if it’s possible to remove the clock from the Windows 10/11 lock screen.

Well, as of now, Windows 10 or 11 does not let you remove or hide the clock on the lock screen. Additionally, a quick internet search reveals that there are no concrete workarounds available to hide or remove the clock from the lock screen. Besides, there is no way to customize the clock on the lock screen as well.

This is surprising as macOS lets users remove the clock on the lock screen. In fact, macOS offers more options for customizing the lock screen than Windows.

Steps to remove the clock from the Mac lock screen

Step 1: Open System Settings.

Step 2: On the left pane, click Lock screen to see the settings and options available for the lock screen.

Step 3: From the drop-down menu next to Show large clock, select Never to hide and remove the clock from the lock screen immediately.
