In Windows 10 and earlier versions of the Windows operating system, the Start button or Windows logo button on the taskbar appears on the left side of the taskbar. Likewise, when you open the Start menu, it opens on the left side of the screen.
Microsoft has made several changes to the behavior of the Start menu and taskbar in Windows 11. By default, all icons on the taskbar, including the Windows logo button, appear centered on the taskbar, and the Start menu also appears centered on the screen.
Although most users are happy with the Start menu opening at the center of the screen, there are several users, especially those who just upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11, who prefer seeing the Start menu at the center of the screen.
For users who are not happy with the default alignment of the Start menu and taskbar, Windows 11 offers an option to move the Start menu and Windows logo icon on the taskbar to the left of the screen.
