The System Properties dialog in Windows 11 allows you to access various advanced system settings, including visual and performance settings, user profile settings, startup & recovery options, system restore, and remote assistance.
Since the System Properties dialog is the primary place to access most of these settings, you may need to open it frequently on your Windows 11. For instance, to turn off various animations, change allocated virtual memory, configure and create the system restore feature, we need to open the System Properties.

Open System Properties via search in Windows 11
Step 1: Type sysdm.cpl in the Start menu or taskbar search and press the Enter key to open the System Properties dialog.

Step 1: Launch the Run command dialog using Windows logo + R keyboard shortcut or search.
Step 2: Type sysdm.cpl and then click the OK button.

Step 1: Open Windows 11 Settings.
Step 2: On the left pane, click System. Now, on the right side, scroll down and then click About to see your PC’s specifications.
Step 3: On this page, scroll down to see the Related links section. Click the Advanced System Settings link to open the System Properties dialog.

Step 1: Open File Explorer by clicking its icon in the Start or taskbar.
Step 2: Once the File Explorer is open, type sysdm.cpl in its address bar and then press the Enter key to open the System Properties dialog.

Step 1: Open File Explorer by opening any folder.
Step 2: In the left navigation pane of the File Explorer, right-click This PC and then click Properties to open the About page in the Settings app.

Open System Properties via Command Prompt or PowerShell in Windows 11
Step 1: Open the Command Prompt or Windows PowerShell using the search function or any other method. No need to launch as an administrator.
Step 2: At the Command Prompt or PowerShell window, type sysdm.cpl and then press the Enter key to open the System Properties dialog immediately.
