Have you saved the Gmail password in the Chrome browser while signing into your Gmail account? Would you like to view or check the saved Gmail password in the Chrome browser on your Windows 11 PC? Here is how to view the Gmail password saved in the Chrome browser on a Windows 11 PC.
Viewing saved passwords in the Chrome browser is easy and straightforward. All you need to open the built-in password manager to view the saved passwords, including the Gmail password.
Refer to the directions given below to view the saved Gmail password in the Chrome browser on Windows 11.
Important: This method can help you view the Gmail password only if you have saved it in the Chrome browser. And if you have signed in to a Gmail/Google account but did not save the password when prompted, you cannot view it, as it has not been saved.
View the Gmail password saved in Chrome browser
Step 1: In the Chrome browser, click the menu icon, click Passwords and autofill, and then click Google Password Manager.
Step 2: Clicking the Google Password Manager option brings up the Google Password Manager page, where you can see the entries of websites where the passwords are saved.
Step 3: In the Passwords section, look for the Gmail/Google entry and then click it. If the Gmail/Google entry does not exist, it likely means that you have not saved the Gmail/Google account password in the Chrome browser. Check other web browsers on your PC, such as Edge, for the saved Google/Gmail account password before trying to reset the password.
Step 4: If you are prompted to type the Windows 11 user account password, PIN, or fingerprint, please do the same to continue.
Step 5: The resulting page shows your Gmail email address and the saved password, but the password is not visible by default. Click the eye icon in the password field to see the password.
If you wish to copy it, click the copy icon next to the eye icon in the field.
