Would you like to quickly access your frequently accessed files on a Windows 11 PC? Do you not want to save files on the desktop to avoid cluttering it? If yes, you can use a built-in feature in Windows 11 File Explorer to quickly access your frequently used files.
Most computer users save their frequently used files on the desktop so that they can access them quickly and easily. While saving files on the desktop can help you access them quickly, having too many files and app icons there can make it look cluttered.
Windows 11 offers a neat way to quickly access your frequently accessed files. Just like how it allows you pin folders to File Explorer, Windows 11 lets you pin files to File Explorer Home as favorites, and they will appear in the Favorites section of File Explorer Home. In short, you do not need to navigate to the actual location of the file to open it, saving you multiple clicks and time.
This guide shows you how to add files to File Explorer Home and how to access them.
Add files to File Explorer Home favorites in Windows 11
Step 1: Right-click the file you wish to add to File Explorer Home favorites and then click Add to Favorites. This will add the selected file to the Favorites section of File Explorer Home.
NOTE: If you would like to add multiple files in the same folder, select all the files, right-click them, and then click the Add to Favorites option.
