How To View Recent Documents In Google Docs On A PC/Mac

Google Docs is probably the most-used productivity suite after Microsoft Office. The fact that Google account users can create and edit documents for free makes it an ideal tool for most users.

Besides being free, it also supports editing documents created with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel. Documents created with Google Docs and Google Sheets can also be downloaded as an Office Word or Excel sheet to continue editing in Microsoft Office applications.

Here is how to view recently created or edited documents on Google Docs.

Step 1: Open the Google Docs website and sign in to your Gmail/Google account if you are not already signed in.

Step 2: Click the File menu in Google Docs and then click Open.

Step 3: The “Open a file” dialog should appear on your screen now. Here, the Recent tab shows all your recently edited or created Google Docs documents. You may click on a document’s entry to select it and then click the Open button to open the same for editing or viewing purposes.

You can also use the search box in the same dialog to quickly find the document you are looking for.
