Yes, the lock screen slideshow feature can be used to set your loved ones or favorite pictures as a slideshow. That is, you can set a rotating collection of your favorite photos as the lock screen background instead of a single picture.
Once the feature is turned on, the picture slideshow starts soon after you lock your screen, or you turn on your PC and arrive at the lock screen.

Set lock screen picture slideshow in Windows 11
Step 1: On your desktop or another location, create a new folder and add all the photos you want to use for the lock screen slideshow. For the best results, we recommend using only picture files that match your screen resolution.
Step 2: Open Windows 11 Settings. Go to Personalization > Lock screen page.
Step 3: Here, select Slideshow from the drop-down menu next to the “Personalize your lock screen” option.
Step 4: You should now see an option labeled “Add an album for your slideshow” with a Browse button next to it.
Step 5: Click the Browse button, browse to the folder containing the picture files that you would like to set as the lock screen slideshow, and then click the Choose this folder button.
By default, only pictures that fit your screen are used for the slideshow, and Windows 11 shows the lock screen slideshow instead of turning off the screen when your PC is inactive. You can change these settings on the same page.
Besides, the same page also offers an option called “Turn off the screen after slideshow has played for “X” minutes which you might want to turn on to save power consumption. By the way, you can add multiple folders to the slideshow by clicking the Browse button again and then selecting the folder containing picture files.
