How To Merge Two Chrome/Edge Browser Windows On Windows 11 PC

While using web browsers, most users open multiple tabs in a single window. However, some users open multiple tabs in multiple windows.

If you have multiple tabs open in two or more Chrome or Edge windows and want to merge them (merging two windows of the same browser), you will be happy to know you don’t need to drag each tab one by one.

This guide shows you how to merge tabs open in two windows of the Chrome/Edge browser with ease.

Merge two windows in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge on Windows 11 PC & Mac

Step 1: Open the browser windows that you want to merge. Align them such that you can easily drag and drop one window onto the tab area of another.

Step 2: In the window you want to merge, click the leftmost tab to select it.

Step 3: Hold down the Shift key and then click the rightmost tab to select all tabs.

Step 3: Click one of the selected tabs, then drag and drop it into the tab area of the other window to merge the all the tabs of that window to other window  instantly.

Move one or specific tabs from one window to another in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge on Windows 11 PC

Step 1: In the browser window, drag and drop the tab that you want to move from one window to another.

If you want to merge only a single tab, simply drag and drop it from one window to another.

And if you want to move multiple tabs from one window to another, hold down the Ctrl key and then click on all tabs that you want to move to the other window. Release the Ctrl key, click and hold one of the selected tabs, and then drag it to the other window. Simple as that!
