How To Change Command Prompt Background Color In Windows 10

Last Updated on February 25, 2020 by admin Leave a Comment

Earlier this week, we showed you how to make the Command Prompt transparent in Windows 10. A PC user who read the guide asked if it’s possible to change the background color of Command Prompt as well.

Everyone knows that the default background color of Command Prompt is, well, black. We are used to the black color of the Command Prompt so much so that the Command Prompt doesn’t look as good as the default one with a background color other than black.

If you’re bored with the default black color of the Command Prompt, you can change the background color of Command Prompt to a color of your choice.

Step 3: Click on the Colors tab to switch to that tab.

Step 4: Select Screen Background radio button, and then select one of the colors provided in the box just below it. If you want to set a different color other than provided colors, you need to manually enter values in Red, Green, and Blue boxes. If you’re not sure, search the web for RGB color codes to get the exact value for a specific color and then enter them in Red, Green, and Blue fields.
