You may have already customized your Google Chrome browser by downloading free themes from the web. The official Chrome themes page also features hundreds of beautiful themes for the browser. But wouldn’t it be nice if you were able to create your own custom Chrome theme without using any software?
A little over a year ago, we shared a free utility named Chrome Theme Creator to create themes for Google Chrome browser. And today, we are here to share an online service (free) that lets you create themes for Chrome browser with a few mouse clicks, without having to install any software on your PC.
Chrome Theme Creator is a free online tool that lets you create Chrome themes in a jiffy. The tool provides a simple way to change images, color and tints, and then helps you pack and install the theme on your Chrome browser. The tool also allows you download the your new theme so that you can share it with your family and friends.
With this tool, you can change theme frame, theme tab background, theme button background, theme window control background, theme frame overlay, background color, text color, link color, bookmark text color, new tab background image, and header color of the theme.
Create Chrome themes online
How to use the online Chrome Theme Creator to create a new Chrome theme:
Step 1: Open Chrome Theme Creator page in your Chrome browser. You will see Basic, Images, Colors, and Pack tabs on the page and theme preview on the right side of the page.
Step 2: Click on Basic tab, enter a name for your theme. Upload an image of your choice to use it as the new tab page background.
Step 3: Switch to the Images tab and click on the browse button next to given elements to browse and upload images.
For example, you can use your favorite picture for the toolbar and tab background.
Step 4: Once done, move to Colors tab and select color for all elements. Click on the color box to select a new color.
Step 5: Finally, move to the Pack tab to create your first Chrome theme. Options are available to pack and install theme, pack and download theme, or pack and download zip file. Use the pack and install theme option to immediately download and apply the new theme.
In addition to creating and editing the theme, you can also download hundreds of themes from the site. Overall, a fantastic service to personalize your Chrome browser appearance.
