How To Create Multiple Profiles In Google Chrome Browser

Google has just released version 16 Beta of its popular Chrome web browser. The Chrome 16 Beta is available to download from the official Chrome Beta page. The latest version is bundled with a nice feature that lets you easily create multiple user profiles and switch between them with a click.

The feature comes in handy if you share your computer with friends or family as all users can now have their own apps, bookmarks, customizations, and extensions. You can also sync your profile using the Google account.

To add a new user:

Step 1: Open the browser and click on the wrench menu and select Options.

Step 2: Switch to Personal stuff and click Add new user. It will open a fresh instance of Chrome and will allow you customize it with new apps and extensions. You should now see an icon in top left of the screen indicating that the browser now has two or more profiles.

Step 3: To switch between users, click on the top left icon and select another profile.

You can even customize your user icon that appears at the top left of the browser. To customize the icon, go to Options and Personal stuff. Select your user profile and click edit button to select a new icon to your profile. You can also change the user name here.
