Without a doubt, Microsoft Security Essentials is one of the best, if no the best, free antivirus software out there for Windows 7.  Just like any other antivirus solution out there, even the recently released free Microsoft Security Essentials requires latest virus and spyware definition updates to keep track of malicious items.

    Those will get updated automatically. Why are u looking for offline updates if u have an internet connection wired to ur computer with mse installed. :D
