With default settings, the macOS shows battery and Wi-Fi, among other icons. The Wi-Fi and battery icons show you the current status of the Wi-Fi network and battery, respectively.
Because macOS shows Wi-Fi and battery icons on the menu bar by default, these icons appear on the menu bar unless you have changed their default settings to hide them.
So, if Wi-Fi, battery, or both icons are missing from the macOS menu bar, it’s likely because you have altered the default settings.
This guide shows you how to restore Wi-Fi and battery icons in macOS Ventura and newer versions.
Enable Wi-Fi and battery icons in macOS Ventura menu bar
Step 1: Open System Settings using Spotlight search or via Launchpad.
Step 2: In the left pane of System Settings, click on Control Centre.
Step 3: Now, on the right side (in the Control Centre Modules section), select Show in the menu bar option from the drop-down next to Wi-Fi. This should immediately force the Wi-Fi icon to appear on the menu bar.
Step 4: Next, in the Other Modules section, locate the Battery option and turn on the Show in the Menu Bar option. That’s it! This will show the battery icon on the menu bar.
