How To Access Copilot Settings In Windows 11

The Microsoft Copilot app is included in recent versions of Windows 11. Millions of Windows 11 users use Copilot to get ideas, create documents and images, and more.

Many users of the Copilot app on Windows 11 PCs are unsure how to change its default settings. For instance, you might want to allow the Copilot to access your local files so that you can use it to search for files quickly, or perhaps you want to change the default keyboard shortcuts assigned to open Copilot.

Although the Copilot app is easy to use, accessing its settings is not easy, especially if you do not know how! The Copilot settings page offers several options, including those for changing the default subscription, privacy, memory, connectors, permissions, keyboard shortcuts, and voice mode.

Change Copilot settings in Windows 11

If you want to change one or more Copilot settings on a Windows 11 PC, here is how to access them.

Step 1: Launch the Copilot app using search or any other method.

Step 2: Once launched, in the left pane, scroll down to see your Microsoft account name and icon.

NOTE: If the sidebar does not appear, click the Open sidebar button at the top to see the sidebar.

Step 3: Click the user icon to see the menu and then click Settings to see Copilot settings on the right side.
