Step 1: Visit the Yahoo Mail website in the Chrome browser.
Step 2: Click the three dots in the toolbar (next to the user profile icon), click Cast, save and share, and then click the Create shortcut option.
Step 3: When you see the following pop-up, type “Yahoo Mail” in the field and then click the Create button to add a shortcut to Yahoo Mail on your desktop.
Step 4: You may now double-click the Yahoo Mail shortcut icon on the desktop to open the Yahoo Mail website in the Chrome browser.

Another easy way to create a Yahoo Mail shortcut on Windows 11 desktop
Step 1: Perform a right-click on an empty spot on the desktop, click New, and then click Shortcut to open the Create Shortcut wizard.
Step 2: Type https://mail.yahoo.com in the field before clicking the Next button.
Step 3: Finally, type “Yahoo Mail” in the field and then click the Finish button to create a Yahoo Mail shortcut icon on the desktop.
When you click the Yahoo Mail shortcut icon on the desktop, the Yahoo Mail webpage will be opened in your default web browser.
Delete the Yahoo Mail shortcut from the Windows 11 desktop
You can delete the Yahoo Mail shortcut icon from the desktop just like any other file folder.
Right-click the icon and then click Delete. Alternatively, you may select it and then click the Delete key.
