Last Updated on December 25, 2016 by admin 2 Comments

The touch keyboard in Windows 8 isn’t just an on-screen keyboard rather it’s a powerful keyboard designed for tablets and other touch devices. There are two modes in touch keyboard: a full-sized keyboard with large buttons and another thumb keyboard with split keys.

The touch keyboard in Windows 8 includes some cool features to improve the your typing speed. It shows text suggestions as you type, automatically adds a space after you choose text suggestions, adds a period after you double-click the spacebar, and automatically capitalizes the first letter of each sentence.

Users who are running Windows 8 on a tablet know that the touch keyboard plays key sound as you type. Even though the sound is nice and helpful,  it can be annoying when composing documents and emails with our favourite music playing in a player. Of course, one can mute the system sound but there is actually a better option available to completely turn off touch keyboard sound.

If you’re the kind of person who doesn’t love to hear the sound of the touch keyboard, follow the given below steps to completely turn off touch keyboard sound in Windows 8:

Step 1: Swipe from the right-edge of the screen to bring up the Charms bar. If you are using mouse and keyboard setup, you need to either move the mouse cursor to the upper or lower right corner of the screen or press Windows + C keys to see the Charms bar.
