How To Enable Or Disable Remote Desktop In Windows 10

Last Updated on October 7, 2017 by admin 1 Comment

Remote Desktop is a handy feature available in all recent versions of Windows operating system, including the latest Windows 10. The Remote Desktop enables you to access and control a remote PC and vice versa.

While the built-in Remote Desktop feature in Windows 10 is not as feature rich as some of the third-party programs such as the TeamViewer, the built-in Remote Desktop does its job quite well.

Besides from a PC and Mac, you can also remotely control a PC from iOS and Android devices using the official Remote Desktop app for Android and iOS.

Before using the Remote Desktop feature to let someone access your PC remotely, you need to enable Remote Desktop feature on your PC. The Remote Desktop feature is turned off by default for security reasons. We suggest you turn on the feature if and when you need to let someone access your PC remotely using the Remote Desktop.

It’s worth noting that the Remote Desktop has a limitation in the Home edition of Windows 10. While you can access a supported computer from Remote Desktop feature on your Windows 10 Home edition PC, one cannot remotely connect to your Windows 10 Home edition computer from a remote computer.

Steps too technical. I simply prefer easy to use remote access tools like logmein, any desk, etc. for remotely accessing computers.
