Why the Connect app is missing from Windows 11?
The Connect app is missing from your Windows 11 installation because you are likely running Windows 11 22H2, 23H2, 24H2, or later versions.
Windows 11 22H2 and later versions of Windows 11 do not include the Connect app, which has been replaced by another app called Wireless Display. In short, for Windows 11 22H2 and later versions, Microsoft is offering the Wireless Display app for the same purpose. However, it might not be installed by default.
To check the installed version of Windows 11 on your PC, type winver and then press the Enter key. If you are running 22H2 or later versions, all you need to do is install the Wireless Display app by following the directions below.
How do you get the wireless display developed by Microsoft?
If the Wireless Display app is not part of the Windows 11 installation, you should be able to install it by turning on the feature via the Optional features section.
Step 1: Open Windows 11 Settings.
Step 2: Go to System > Optional features page.
Step 3: Click the View features button.
Step 4: Select the Wireless Display option. Click Next.
Step 5: Finally, click the Add button to install the Wireless Display app.
