With default installation settings, Windows 11 shows a few widgets such as the weather widget on the lock screen. These lock screen widgets provide the necessary information and let you do various things without signing into your Windows 11 PC.
While some find these lock screen widgets helpful, many users do not find them useful. If you are not interested in lock screen widgets, Windows 11 does offer an option to disable and remove all widgets from the lock screen.
This guide shows you how to remove a specific or all widgets from the Windows 11 lock screen.

Remove lock screen widgets from Windows 11 lock screen
Step 1: Open the Windows 11 Settings app using search or the Windows logo + I keyboard shortcut.
Step 2: On the left pane, click Personalization.
Step 3: On the right side, click Lock screen.
Step 4: Scroll down the page to see the Widgets section. Here, turn off the Widgets option to remove or disable all widgets from the lock screen immediately.
And if you wish to remove a specific widget, do not turn off the Widgets option. Instead, click on it to see currently active widgets. Click the three dots next to the widget that you want to remove and then click the Remove option. That’s it!

Remove lock screen widgets on a Windows 11 PC
Step 1: On the lock screen, click the three dots on the widget you want to remove, then click Manage widgets.
Step 2: Sign in to your Windows 11 account to see the Settings > Personalization > Lock screen page on the screen.
Step 3: Turn off the Widgets option to remove all widgets, click the three dots present next to a widget, and then click the Remove option to remove the selected widget from the lock screen.
