The official Apple Music app has finally been released for Windows 11. Although it’s not available for Windows 10, Windows 11 users who subscribe to Apple Music can use the app.
Like other software from Apple, the Apple Music app for Windows 11 is also quite stable. However, at times, you might encounter issues while opening or using it. For example, the Apple Music app might fail to open or respond incorrectly.
If you have been experiencing issues with the Apple Music app, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling it. This guide shows you just that.
NOTE: After reinstalling the Apple Music app, you must sign in to your Apple account again.
Uninstall or reinstall Apple Music in Windows 11
Step 1: Go to Windows 11 Settings > Apps > Installed apps page.
Step 2: Look for the Apple Music entry. Click on the three dots next to it and then click the Uninstall option.
Step 3: When you get the confirmation dialog, click the Yes button to uninstall and remove Apple Music from Windows 11.
You can stop here if you do not intend to reinstall the Apple Music app. However, if you wish to reinstall it, follow the next steps as well.
Step 4: Open the Microsoft Store app using search.
Step 5: Use the Store search to find the Apple Music app. Click on the Get/Install button to download and install Apple Music. If the Get button is grayed out, please close and relaunch the Store app. That’s all!
You may now launch the Apple Music app and sign in to your account.
