There is no substitution for a quality antivirus software. Kaspersky Antivirus is one of the best antivirus solutions you can have on your Windows PC. Independent labs always rate Kaspersky Antivirus at the top or near the very top of test results.

Kaspersky Antivirus solution is the best antivirus solution money can buy today.

Unlike other antivirus companies, Kaspersky doesn’t offer a free antivirus solution. Kaspersky Antivirus is a commercial antivirus solution and not all PC users can afford a commercial antivirus software.

If you admire Kaspersky Antivirus solution but don’t have it on your PC, you will be glad to hear that you can now scan files online for viruses using Kaspersky Antivirus.

Kaspersky VirusDesk

Yes, there are online scanning services such as the popular VirusTotal and Metadefender from OPSWAT that scan files using over fifty antivirus engines, including Kaspersky. But if you would like to scan a file just with Kaspersky antivirus engine, you can use the official Kaspersky VirusDesk service.

Kaspersky VirusDesk is a free online scan service from Kaspersky. With VirusDesk, you can scan files and website links for viruses. Currently, the Kaspersky VirusDesk supports files of up to 50 MB in size.

According to Kaspersky, the VirusDesk service checks the files the same way a Kaspersky Antivirus does on your PC. VirusDesk uses the same antivirus engine and database of the reputed Kaspersky Antivirus for PC.

If a threat is found, it notifies you about the threat. However, the service cannot disinfect files.

Likewise, if a file is not opening or protected with a password, the VirusDesk will notify you about the same.

Coming to links, the VirusDesk can check if a link contains malicious or phishing content.

As you can see in pictures, the user interface of VirusDesk is clean and easy-to-use. To upload a file, simply click the attach file icon, select a file on your PC, and then click the Open button. Finally, click the Scan button to begin checking your file.

If you have multiple files, put them in a zip file and then password protect the zip file (see how to create a zip file with password) using the word “virus” as password. The VirusDesk will automatically unzip the file using the standard “virus” password and then scan those files. You cannot upload a normal zip file to VirusDesk, at least for now.

Overall, a fantastic service from Kaspersky for PC users who cannot afford Kaspersky Antivirus software.

Kaspersky Cleaner is another free software to delete temporary files and free up space on your PC.
