Yes, in Windows 10 and the new Windows 11, not all the offered features are installed by default. A handful of features are offered as optional features.

Optional features are features or apps that are not installed by default. For instance, in Windows 11, the old Windows Fax and Scan utility is offered as an optional feature. In addition to that, Wireless Display, XPS Viewer, Windows Storage Management, TPM Diagnostics, RSAT tools, and several fonts are offered as optional features.

This guide will show you how to view and install optional features in Windows 10 and 11.
