What Is Windows 11 Moment 1 Update?

Barely a month after the release of Windows 11 22H2, Microsoft has released another big update for Windows 11 to introduce a set of new features and apps to the latest version of the Windows operating system.

Called Windows 11 Moment 1 Update, the new update adds many new features announced earlier for Windows 11.

New features in Windows 11 Moment 1 Update

The Moment 1 Update brings tabbed File Explorer, improved favorites, suggested actions, taskbar overflow, taskbar right-click to open the Task Manager (was not available in Windows 11), support for iCloud photos in the Photos app, Android apps support, and Amazon App Store (using which you can install over 20,000 Android apps on Windows 11) to Windows 11.

How to install Windows 11 Moment 1 Update?

The Moment 1 Update is being rolled out and might not be available to everyone immediately. Moreover, the Moment 1 Update is available as an optional non-security preview release.

As per Microsoft, these new features will be broadly available to all editions of Windows 11 22H2 in the November 2022 security update.

You can go to Settings > Windows Update page, click on the Check for updates button, and then open the optional updates section to check if the Moment 1 Update is available for your computer.

Is Windows 11 Moment 1 Update free?

Yes, the Moment 1 Update is free for all Windows 11 users. If fact, Windows 11 itself is available as a free upgrade to Windows 10 users.
