Is your Windows 11 computer or tablet showing an incorrect date, time, or both? This guide shows you how to set the correct date and time in Windows 11.
Windows 11 offers multiple ways to change the date and time. You can use the Settings app or the good old Control Panel to set the correct date and time.
The following are the four ways to change the date and time in Windows 11.
Method 1 of 4
Change the date and time via Settings in Windows 11
Step 1: Perform a right-click on the date/time widget on the taskbar and then click Adjust date and time option. This will open Settings > Time & language > Date & time page.
Step 2: Here, to set the time manually, you need to turn off the Set time automatically option. So, turn off the Set time automatically first.
Step 3: Next, click on the Change button next to the Set the date and time manually option.
Step 4: In the resulting dialog, select the correct date and time from the drop-down boxes before clicking the Change button.
The new date and time will be set immediately.
Method 2 of 4
Automatically set date and time in Windows 11
Windows 11 can automatically set the correct date and time on your PC, provided your computer is connected to a working internet connection and the right time zone is selected.
Step 1: Right-click the date/time on the taskbar and then click Adjust date and time.
Step 2: On the Date & time page, turn on the Set time automatically option.
