Do you want to convert pictures from HEIC format to JPG or PNG? Want to convert HEIC pictures to JPG or PNG offline? In this guide, we will share five ways to easily convert HEIC to JPG or PNG in Windows 10/8/7 for free.

As you likely know, new iPhones and iPads now take pictures in the new HEIF (High-Efficiency Image Format) format and save images with HEIC extension. The benefit of using HEIF/HEIC over JPG is that the new media format takes about 50% less space than the legacy JPG.

If you have a bunch of pictures on your PC with HEIC extension, you might want to convert them to the popular JPG or PNG format so that all your applications support it. Following are the six ways to quickly convert HEIC to JPG or PNG in Windows 10/8/7.

NOTE: We recommend you save pictures in HEIC image format on your PC to save disk space (HEIC takes about half the size of legacy JPG without compromising on quality). If you are unable to view HEIC pictures on your Windows PC, refer to our how to open and view HEIC pictures in Windows 7 and Windows 8 guide. Windows 10 version 1803 and later versions support HEIC out of the box.
