Google Chrome browser is the most used and loved web browser on both computers as well as smartphones.
While all users know how to launch the Chrome browser on a Windows 11 PC, not all might know all the ways to open the Chrome browser.
The following are the seven ways to open the Chrome browser on a Windows 11 PC.
Method 1 of 7
Launch Google Chrome using the search in Windows 11
Step 1: Type Chrome in the Start menu or taskbar search field and then press the Enter key to open the Chrome browser window.

Open the Chrome browser from the Start menu in Windows 11
Step 1: Open the Start menu by pressing the Windows logo key once or clicking the Windows logo icon on the taskbar.
Step 2: Check if the Pinned section of the Start menu is displaying the Chrome entry. If yes, click on it to open the Chrome browser. If not, click the All button, locate the Chrome entry, and then click it to open the Chrome window.

Open Google Chrome with a Run command in Windows 11
Step 1: Open the Run command dialog box either by typing Run in the search box and then hitting the Enter key or by simultaneously pressing the Windows logo + R keys.
Step 2: In the Run dialog box, type chrome.exe and then press the Enter key to open the Chrome browser.
Method 4 of 7
Launch Google Chrome by clicking its icon on the desktop
Step 1: Google Chrome does not show its icon on the Windows 11 desktop by default. However, you can refer to our how to create Google Chrome shortcut on desktop guide to add the Chrome shortcut icon to the desktop.
Step 2: You may now double-click the Chrome icon on the desktop to open it.
Method 5 of 7
Open Google Chrome from the Windows 11 taskbar
Step 1: Launch Chrome using search or any other method mentioned above.
Step 2: Right-click the Chrome icon on the taskbar and then click Pin to taskbar to add it to the taskbar. You may close the Chrome browser now.
Step 3: Once the Chrome icon is added to the taskbar, you may click on its icon on the taskbar to open it.

Launch Chrome via File Explorer in Windows 11
Step 1: Open This PC in File Explorer.
Step 2: Double-click the drive where Windows 11 is installed.
Step 3: Go to Program Files > Google > Chrome > Application folder.
Step 4: Finally, double-click the chrome(.exe) file to open the Chrome browser.
Method 7 of 7
Open Google Chrome via Command Prompt in Windows 11
Step 1: Open the Command Prompt window by typing CMD in the search and then pressing the Enter key.
Step 2: At the Command Prompt window, type start chrome and then hit the Enter key.
