How to check Chrome version installed on your PC?

Checking Google Chrome’s version number is easy. Here is how to do that.

Step 1: Open the Chrome browser. Click on the more options icon (three vertical dots icon), click Help and then click About Google Chrome option to open About Chrome page.

Step 2: The About Chrome page not only displays the current version of Chrome installed on your PC but also automatically checks for updates upon opening the page.

How to update Google Chrome to the latest version?

You don’t need to check for Chrome updates manually. Chrome automatically checks and installs updates on its own. That said, you can manually check for updates if you feel that Chrome is not getting updated automatically or want to install an update right away.

Step 1: On the Chrome browser, click the more options icon, click Help, and then click About Google Chrome.

Step 2: Clicking the About Google Chrome option opens the About Chrome page which automatically checks for Chrome updates. If available, the latest version of Chrome will be automatically downloaded and installed. If you are asked to relaunch the browser, please do so to complete the update installation.

If you are having issues with this method, you can manually download the latest version of Google Chrome installer and then run the same to update your currently installed Google Chrome application to the latest version.
