Stop Edge From Asking To Save Credit Card Information In Windows 10

A large number of PC users use credit cards to shop online. Just like the way it offers to save web credentials, Microsoft Edge browser in Windows 10 offers to save credit card information as well so that you can quickly complete online transactions without having to remember or enter credit card information every time you want to complete an online transaction.

While the ability to save credit card information is a great way to save time, not all users are comfortable saving credit card information on their PCs. Since credit card information can be harvested from your PC just like any other information, saving credit card information on your PC might not be a wise idea.

Besides that, if you are a responsible buyer who doesn’t want to overspend, you should not save credit card information. This idea might sound stupid, but it will force you to think a little more before placing the order.

Luckily, there is a provision in Microsoft Edge using which you can stop Edge from saving credit card information. If you don’t want Edge to offer you save credit card information, complete the given below directions to stop Edge form saving credit card information.

NOTE: This method applies to Edge on Windows 10 (Redstone 5 and later).

Step 1: Open Microsoft Edge browser on your PC. Click the Settings & more icon (three dots) and then click Settings.

Step 2: On the left-side, click Passwords & autofill icon.

Step 3: Under the Autofill section, turn off Save card option to stop Edge from prompting you to save credit card information.

As you can see in the picture below, you can also manage saved credit card information by clicking the Manage cards button.

    What kind of fool turns this massive security risk on by default and annoy people with the constant question about whether or not we want you to save our data without an option to permanently kill the stupidity in the idiotic interruption box? It should be off, with the option for those who don’t care about our data to add the risk if we want it.
