On a Windows 11 PC with the default installation settings, the page or content scrolls down when you scroll the mouse wheel down, and it scrolls up when you scroll the wheel up.
On a Mac, however, the scroll behaves in the opposite direction. When you scroll down the mouse wheel, the page goes up, whereas when you scroll up the mouse wheel, the page goes down.
Users who have been using the Windows operating system for a long time do not feel like changing it, as they are used to it. In fact, many Mac users reverse the default scroll direction to make it just like Windows. However, users who have moved to Windows after using a Mac for a long time might want to reverse the scroll direction so that it behaves like on a Mac.
Luckily, both Windows and macOS offer options to change the default scroll direction. This guide shows you how to reverse the scroll directions on a Windows 11 PC.
NOTE: Needless to say, there are different settings for both the mouse and the touchpad.
Reverse mouse scroll direction on a Windows 11 PC
Step 1: Open the Windows 11 Settings app using search or Windows logo + I keyboard shortcut.
Step 2: On the left pane of the Settings app, click Bluetooth & devices.
Step 3: Now, on the right side, click Mouse to see available settings (refer to the picture above).
Step 4: Finally, in the Scrolling section, select Down motion scrolls up option from the drop down next to the Scrolling direction option to reverse the scrolling direction. That’s it!

On a Mac, you go to System Settings > Trackpad > Scroll & Zoom, and then turn on/off the Natural scrolling feature to change the scroll direction.
