How To Make Windows 11 Taskbar Look Like Windows 10

Last Updated on March 2, 2026 by admin Leave a Comment

Now that Microsoft has officially stopped supporting Windows 10, millions of users who were hesitant to upgrade to Windows 11 have finally begun doing so.

One of the things users immediately notice after upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11 is the taskbar and Start menu. Unlike the Windows 10 taskbar, the Windows 11 taskbar is centered. That is, by default, the Windows logo icon (Start button), the search box, and other icons on the taskbar appear centered rather than on the left. The Start menu also opens at the center, with default settings. In Windows 10 and earlier versions, all icons on the taskbar and Start menu appear on the left.

Many users who have just upgraded to Windows 11 after years on Windows 10 prefer the Windows 10-style taskbar for obvious reasons. The team behind Windows 11 knows this well and has offered an option to make the Windows 11 taskbar look and behave like the Windows 10 taskbar.

Step 2: On the right side, click Taskbar behaviors to see various settings and options available to customize the taskbar.

The weather widget, which originally appears on the left side of the taskbar, automatically moved to the right. If you do not want to see it, turn off the Widgets option under Taskbar items (see the picture below). The same section also offers options to hide the search box and the task view icon.
