Are you regularly getting desktop notifications from websites on your Windows 11 PC even when you are not browsing the web? Would you like to turn off desktop notifications or pop-up desktop ads from websites on your Windows 11 desktop? If yes, you will be glad to know that there are not just one but two ways to turn off notifications from websites.
Website notifications generally appear only when you have approved a notification request from a website. This happens when you are browsing the website and click the Agree or Yes button for a notification request.
The following are the two ways to disable desktop notifications from websites on a Windows 11 PC.
NOTE: Please note that these methods can help you stop only desktop notifications, not browser notifications you might get when visiting a website in your web browser.
Method 1 of 2
Disable notifications from a website on a Windows 11 desktop
Step 1: Open Windows 11 Settings using search or any other method.
Step 2: On the left pane of the Settings app, click System. Now, on the right side, click Notifications.
Step 3: In the “Notifications from apps and other senders” section, look for the website that is showing notifications or ads on your Windows 11 desktop.
Step 4: Move the toggle button to the “Off” position to turn off the desktop notification from the selected website.
Method 2 of 2
Another way to turn off notification from a website on your Windows 11 desktop
Step 1: When you get the desktop notification, click the three dots in the top right of the notification flyout and then click the “Turn off all notification for website URL” option to turn off the notification immediately. This will stop the website from showing notification in Windows 11.
