As with the case of other popular web browsers, Microsoft Edge for Windows 10 also allows you to save web passwords.

If you are using Edge as your default web browser in Windows 10, you likely have saved tens of passwords in it. Although the Edge’s password manager is not best, it does the job quite well.

At times, after changing one of your web passwords in a different web browser, you might want to immediately update the password saved in the Edge browser before you forget the new password.

In this guide, we will see how to edit or update passwords saved in Edge browser in Windows 10.

NOTE: In addition to Windows 10, Microsoft Edge is available for Android and iOS in select countries and regions. But this guide is for Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 only.

Edit or update saved passwords in Chromium-Edge in Windows 10

As of now, the Chromium-based Edge does not allow users to directly edit or update passwords saved directly on the passwords page. You need to follow the given below workaround to edit or update passwords.

Step 1: Type edge://settings/passwords in the address bar and hit Enter key to open the passwords page.

Step 2: As you can see in the picture below, the page displays all saved passwords. To edit or update a password, you must delete the saved password first. To do so, click on the three dots next to the saved password and then click the Delete option.
