When you attempt to launch the Windows Sandbox feature in Windows 10, the Sandbox might fail to launch and display “No hypervisor was found. Please enable hypervisor support” error.
The “No hypervisor was found. Please enable hypervisor support” appears because Windows Sandbox requires virtualization technology, a feature available in most modern CPUs.
The virtualization technology is enabled by default on almost all PCs. However, if you are getting the error, it’s either because the virtualization technology is disabled in BIOS or your PC doesn’t support it.
If you have purchased your PC in the last few years, your computer likely supports virtualization.
Fix to no hypervisor was found error
Here is how to enable the Virtualization technology in BIOS.
Step 1: Save your work. Close all running programs and then reboot your PC.
Step 2: Boot into the BIOS. Switch to the Security tab. Look for Intel Virtualization Technology or Virtualization Technology option, select the option, press Enter key to get Enable and Disable options.
Step 3: Select the Enable option and then hit the F10 key to save and exit.
Note that the location of Virtualization Technology option in BIOS varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. Please check all tabs if you cannot find it under the Security tab.
If you cannot find Virtualization Technology option, it’s likely because your PC’s processor doesn’t support it. Please contact your PC’s manufacturer to confirm the same.
Step 4: Boot into Windows 10. Launch Windows Sandbox. You should now be able to launch and use Windows Sandbox without the “No hypervisor was found. Please enable hypervisor support” error.

@Kaz I have the same question.
Have you found out since ?
It’s unfortunate that Intowindows.com publish article without responding to their readers’s questions.

I don’t get any error messages. Sandbox just opens and then instantly closes.
My PC meets all the criteria you mentioned.
Not sure what’s happening. Suggestions, please?
Thanks.

Does Windows 10 Sandbox require Hyper-V (like Docker for Windows) or only need enabled I-VT in BIOS?
I have installed VmWare and I can’t install Hyper-V Windows component.
