Windows Updates are important. They not only add new features to the operating system but also fix issues, bugs, and make the Windows operating system more reliable.

Most PC users do not like Windows 11 installing updates during their working hours. To help such users, Windows 11 offers an option called Active Hours, and users can configure the Active Hours to stop Windows 11 from automatically restarting their Windows 11 PC to install updates during those Active Hours.

What if Windows 11 is already installing some updates and you want to cancel them? Well, there are multiple ways, but the latest version of Windows 11 now offers an easy option to cancel Windows updates that are in progress.

What does canceling Windows Update do?

When you cancel updates that are in progress, Windows 11 stops installing the updates that are currently being installed and stops the download process immediately.
