How To Change Windows Store Country Or Location In Windows 10

When you install or setup Windows 10, you’re asked to select a region or country that you are currently in. Based on your currently selected location, the Windows Store app displays apps and app prices for the selected location or country.

For instance, if you select the United States as your current location, then Windows Store will display apps available for install or purchase in the United States only. To purchase an app, you need to use one of the payment methods available for the selected location or country only.

If the Store app is showing app prices in a different currency than you’re familiar with or if you want to install an app that is not available for your country or region, then you need to do change the Windows Store country or region.

NOTE: Changing Windows Store country or region will also affect Windows 10 operating system as well.

Complete the given below directions to change the Windows Store region in Windows 10.

Method 1 of 2

Change Store region or country using Settings

Step 1: Open the Settings app. That can be opened by clicking or tapping Settings entry in the left pane of the Start menu or simultaneously pressing the Windows logo and R keys on the keyboard.

Step 2: Once the Settings app is launched, go to Time & language > Region.

Step 3: Under the Country or region section, select a country or region from the drop-down box. That’s it!

Restart the Store app to use the new location. If the restarting the Store app didn’t work, please sign out of the account and sign in again.

Method 2 of 2

Change Store country or region via Control Panel

Step 1: Open Control Panel by typing Control Panel in the Start menu search box and then pressing Enter key.

If the Start menu search is not working for some reason, open the Run command box by simultaneously pressing Windows logo and R keys, type Control, and then press Enter key to open Control Panel.

Step 2: Once Control Panel is opened, change the View by to Small icons, and then click Region to open Region dialog.

Step 3: Click on the Location tab to switch to the same.

Step 4: Here, under the Home location section, select a region or country from the drop-down box, and then click the Apply button.

Restart the Store app, if it’s running. If Store is using the old location even after restarting the app, please reboot your PC once.
